I bought this because I have back pain and my massage therapist recommended a foam roller to me. Using this for a couple minutes every day makes a big improvement to my pain. The ebook wasn't that useful in telling me how to use it on my upper back (and recommended some things I'd been told NOT to do, like rolling my lower back) but once I got advice on how to use the roller properly it's been amazing. 5/5 on the roller, 1/5 on the ebook.

Roller exactly what i wanted, sturdy, firm, and just right length , came quickly, well packaged and had useful info sheet as well. Communication with company excellent, felt very personalised. Price good value too. There is an ebook which was sent by email .I couldn't find that in my mails and may have gone to junk but company sent link to get it. All in all thoroughly recommend

Solid foam roller, however the way this is constructed - using 3 separate rollers slid into each other and then glued- the inner roller in mine has come loose- which I thought would happen. Does it still provide good value/ I think so, but I only use this at home. If you want a roller for the gym or class - then invest in a better constructed roller.

Years of problems with rock solid knotted muscles and more and more problem areas mainly lower back and outer thigh / hip areas (recently started having total leg 'lock' from ankle / knee injuries) ....the only treatment that has ever worked is a proper hands on chiropractor experience with deep massage and lots of pain ....but needing treatment twice weekly at £40 a pop has been unsustainable....I've been in so much pain daily and getting more and more down but this is the second day using the foam roller and I cant believe how this simple product has helped so much already!!!!!! I was sceptical after trying every treatment under the sun and couldn't see how it could replace a really good deep tissue massage...but it does! Spent last night and first thing this morning rolling on it and because its firm and takes/resists your body weight it really pushes the muscles...feels like my fantastic but severe chiropractor is busy at work! I used to dig my nails into the treatment bed and now I'm digging them into the living room carpet! I would recommend this to anyone with muscle pain, I'm a severe case so I'll be using it for some time but I'm now hopeful again...PS - the poster is ok to start you off but you'll soon tweak the exercises to suit your body, there's some good suggestion on t'internet too (and the spelling mistakes on the poster will make you giggle!)

At first I was apprehensive because it wasn't made of the same foam I was used to, but it turns out this a a great roller.Very good quality build and holds it's shape very well.Just note that this roller is quite firm, and if you're used to the old well used ones in your gym which will be much softer, you'll find it uncomfortable at first. Personally I wanted a firm roller becuase the work is deeper, so it was ideal for me.Sorted out my quad and ITB tightness nicely!UPDATE: Just over 2 months of regular use and the inner foam part has separated from the outer foam, so it moves around inside, the whole thing will slide out if I push it. It's not that bad because it's tubular so stays in shape during use and still works fine, but obviously isn't the most robust of foam rollers.UPDATE AGAIN: After 6 months of regular use (I try to use it once a day) just like other foam rollers it has lost it's shape and become quite squashed in the middle. It's still usable but not as good as when it was new. If you don't mind paying more and want something that will last go for a non-foam roller made from firmer plastic and is hollow, they are usually then covered in a foam grid.

This product is works 100x better than conventional stretching to release facia (the sack the surrounds to muscles and lead to lightness and inflexibility)tension. I recommend every one that does and doesn't workout to use this if they feel flexibility has become an issue. The roller works very well on releasing tension on the legs, it can be somewhat painful when you first start using it as you are applying your own weight stretch the facia out but you will get used to it and feel the benefits not long after you start.If you suffer for lower back pain conditions then this product could prove more valuable and cost effective than any other treatment out there. If the problem is muscular then this will definitely help, usually it will be due to tight hamstrings pulling the pelvis and lower back down, if it is a spinal problem I suggest you consult a doctor first before performing any of the roller stretches so that you avoid further displacing of disk ect.Since using this I haven't had the need to go to the chiropractor as rolling on this in various angles clicks and re-adjust my back perfectly.

The roller was as described and an excellent product. Unfortunately due to my small frame I found it a little too cumbersome for me to use effectively and so I returned it. This does not detract at all from its quality and the efficiency in which it was despatched. I would recommend.

ok now i was a bit skeptical as i never tried this & it just looked like a piece that might be tacky & useless but thought i'll give it a try as i lost a lot of weight (from uk size 18 to 12) & started exercising recently. My body was tortured, literally, so much pain & knots everywhere, received this & tried it immediately, not that hard to use but i need to get used to it i still lose it sometimes but saying that, this piece of thing is a true bless, so much relief and worth every penny, it's hard enough, hurts but bearable when u know the results. Now am definitely buying the one with spikes once am used to this as i can imagine what it can do. Can't recommend it enough
