I'm very pleased with my white comforter,, I've had many through the years & this one is one of my favorites! Not too hot & not thin, just about as good as one can be!

WE LOVE THESE COMFORTERS!
This works wonderful for my allergic child. We have these on every bed in the house. They hold up well. They are easy to launder. And they are not too expensive to replace if they get too soiled. The weight is PERFECT. We have been using these for years and bought at least 10 of these in different sizes from Twin XL to Cal King.

A Taste of Luxury
This review is coming from someone who is used to heading down to the local store and just buying whatever looked decent and was inexpensive. We recently upgraded our bedding and one of the comforters was too small for the duvet cover. While I would love to have a five-star hotel type one, it was just not in the budget. And yet, I still hoped for something nice and came across the hospitology one.Overall the reviews were very positive, so I ordered one expecting it to be comparable to what we have, and that would fit in the duvet cover properly. I have only had it for a short time, yet it has been a lot better than all of our other comforters. When I opened the box and saw the plastic bag, I thought I had ordered the wrong size. The plastic package looks just like the pictures above, yet is pretty small, measuring 16"L x 6"W x 12"H with the duvet vacuum-sealed inside. If you have never purchased anything vacuum-sealed, be aware there is a initial smell when you cut it open. The comforter itself did not really smell and the plasticy odor dissipated within a minute.Secondly, as soon as you break the vacuum seal, the duvet insert will immediately begin to expand to it's original shape and 94"x90" size. Therefore, I recommend pulling it out right away and unfolding it. Give it a few minutes to fluff up fully before washing. The one I received expanded to about two inches and we let it sit for about 15 minutes. The microfiber shell is very soft to the touch, even unwashed. The fill is evenly spread and there were no visible clumps or bunching. Even though this is listed as a duvet insert, it looks and feels good enough to use on its own.I washed it on delicate cycle and tumble-dried on low heat. It took two cycles on low heat to fully dry, but the results were worth it. The comforter/insert did not shrink at all and had zero odor outside of that fresh-clean smell. After washing/drying, it felt even softer and very smooth. The surface was not rough and there was no pilling.Located at all four corners are loops to secure it inside of your duvet cover. The cover we put this inside does not have anything for the loops, yet it has not moved out of place. I am currently using this one Brielle Bamboo Graph Duvet Cover Set, Made in Turkey, Comes in a Giftable Box (Full/Queen) . There are lots of covers out there, with a variety of feel and material, so use one that makes you more comfortable.Prior to the Hospitology, I had been using two 1" thick comforters for sleeping. As I got warmer during the night, I would throw one off. Conversely, if I got colder, I would put it back on or grab another one. By itself, this duvet insert has been wonderful in maintaining an optimal sleeping experience; not too hot and not too cold. For comparison's sake, I tried sleeping with it inside the duvet cover and without. In both cases, it performed above my expectations. If you are used to five-star hotel bedding, then I do not know how this would compare. However, if you are used to decent store bought comforters and are looking for something a lot better for your money, then I would highly recommend the Hospitology. It has made a big difference for me and it is nice to have a little bit of "luxury."I have to say that I love this duvet and just ordered a second one. If my experience changes, I will update this review, but for now it is my five-star bedding.

Pleasantly Surprised - would buy again
What a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure what I expected from a moderate cost "duvet insert" that when in use is hidden from view. Maybe cheap, rough fabric with poly fill sagging into the bottom like an understaffed pillow. I took a chance on this one because the vendor, Hospitology, made a conscientious effort to write an honest sounding description. I'm using the term "honest" here in the cheesy, marketing sense of the word. Not that Hospitology is dishonest, I just didn't know of them before this purchase. Luckily, we also have a virtual plethora of positive Amazon reviews and, more importantly, almost no negatives. So, what do we have here?Amazon Prime delivered on the third business day as usual via UPS. Inside the Amazon box, the insert was protected by a plastic zippered, bag - pretty standard for bulky, white goods. The covering is white - really white - not cream or ecru or beige or those other "colors" that are not white - with orange piping around the edges. The piping is double stitched into the fabric in such a way that it provides a very strong perimeter border linked to the corner ties used to anchor the insert into the duvet. The corner ties are a quarter inch wide, double stitched into the piped edges on both ends of the tie about two inches from the corners. The microfiber fabric is soft to the touch and has a nice hand, but no bias. You can tug at it in any direction and it has no give. I was surprised at how strong the whole assembly is. However, in case you have a need for combo duvet insert/tow rope, you should look elsewhere. Otherwise, this is constructed the way you want it.The fill is supposed to be one inch thick. It is at least that. If you spread it out flat and let it settle on its own, it will have about two plus inches of loft. Yes, I know. Measuring loft is pretty subjective for us consumers, but if you need one inch of fill, you likely won't be disappointed.I'm using this as a top comforter instead of an insert so it's subject to much, much more abuse than it would if it were protected within a duvet. I sleep in an unheated room with an electric blanket on top of a sheet under this insert. It was 16 degrees outside and 46 inside this morning. I was toasty warm.Dirt. Dirt likes the cats. They track in disgusting stuff and spend hours removing it and leaving it just for me - often on the insert. Most of it doesn't stick. Really. A quick shake and it's gone. Ummm... Mostly gone. The microfiber wasn't dirty but I washed it for this review. Although you are not likely to need much washing if you keep your duvet insert inside an actual duvet, it's comforting to know you can. Cool water, mild soap, gentle cycle, low heat dryer and a quick shake. The fill is captured in twelve inch quilting so it didn't settle. Washing was a non-event that could have turned this from five stars into one star if the fill clumped.or if the seams tore.I'm happy with Hospitology so far and will look closely at their products in the future - on Amazon, of course.

They got this right.
This is the second time I have purchased this duvet. The first time was for a King size bed. It was fantastic and I had used it for what seems like years. I had decided to down size my bed and purchased a queen instead. I wanted to get the same duvet. I have used it in both winter and summer. You will not regret this purchase. I am a very happy customer.
