Excellent book!!! Glad I purchased it!! Love, Love this book!
This is an excellent book, the price was an added a bonus!!. It answered all my questions and more, for less than the price of other books I purchased. I completely understand why some people would say that she contradicts herself, but there is a good reason why. Some parts I found to be funny as it relates what I have done. I really and truly believe that you do have to be careful and protect yourself. Lisa McKay covers everything in this book. It has been truly helpful for me. I have to thank her for writing such an excellent book! I find it to be more complete and better than other books with 5 Star ratings, that are charging much more money with not much information. I wish I had purchase this book before I bought the other books about LDR. In my opinion, this is one of the best books on long distance relationships.

Yes and no’s
Super eye opening. Although we did some things backwards than the book suggests, but it’s seemingly working for us. We talk often. Make plans relatively early on. What works for some, may not another

Recommended for anyone involved in a long distance romance or with friends embarking on them!
I enjoyed Lisa's last book "Love at the speed of email" and this is equally a well written and enjoyable read but from a different angle. Its sound, practical advice complete with strategies, tips and questions you may not want to ask but probably should. Recommended for anyone involved in a long distance romance or with friends embarking on them.

Effective, Easy-to-Read & Great Reminder!
Lisa writes in a conversational tone that makes it easy to understand. The strategies listed are highly relatable, and Lisa provides clear direction on how to translate the strategies to day-to-day especially in a long-distance relationship. This is a must-read for people entering a long-distance relationship and is well designed for first-time lovers and those with prior relationships. A strong recommend!

Finally a realistic book about the realities of distance dating, whether Long Distance Romances or Internet Dating!
The book From Stranger to Lover by Lisa McKay was a great and quick read. I loved it, it was fast and funny. She gets to the heart of the matter and gives you plenty of food for thought.Though I’ve never been in a traditional long distance relationship, I can easily see some of the patterns that she mentions in my own adventures from dating online in my early 20’s. The pursuit-retreat issue is something I’ve had to address myself and reading about it was an eye opening experience. The over communicating and doing it too often was another great point that she makes you evaluate.Whether you are getting ready for a long distance relationship, have been in one or are doing the whole internet dating thing, this book has some fabulous tips and advice for you.

Too much negativity
I stopped reading halfway through because it got too negative for me. Yes, you should be cautious. But that's true for all relationships.
