High Quality !!
This is a must have for wood that you truly want to enhance the grain. Applied 4 coats by brush ( 4 days between applications) on some solid walnut posts on the porch. Mixed the tung oil with a 25% blend of mineral spirits to help oil absorb into wood. Looks perfect. Will never use tinted oils from the big box stores again.

This is the real thing
This is the real deal. The used for hundreds of years to protect and beautify wood. Low gloss deep finish. Best part is you can't screw this up. Mix half an half with mineral spirits, apply liberally wait 20 minutes, wipe clean. Do that every other day 4 times and you have a weather resistant, nearly scratch proof finish that is truly beautiful. I don't know what is in those cans at the home stores but you never finish redoing it. After the first 4 coats maybe one refresher after a year. Low gloss deep beautiful.

good stuff, but when I got it
good stuff, but when I got it, some of the stuff had leaked inside the box. Kind of a mess when I opened the box.

Great wood protection and finish workout all the fuss.
All natural non toxic alternative to varnish. Much easier to use and touch up down the road. Try it, you won't go back.

Impossible even finish.
I was really sold on the all natural part, but my experience has been less that 5 stars. My first project I did two coats at 50% and then finish coats at full strength. That resulted in a finish that took days to dry, ended up running, and didn't have a even finish. My second attempt I decided to do all coats at 50%. That helped, but still resulted in an uneven finish. I ended going back to box brand tung oil to finish, and even then, I had to buffer the base coats to get an acceptable finish.Additional notes:* At 50% it is still much thicker than box brands* It seems likes the product wants to be more flat than semi gloss. If you want flat, you probably can buff after it dries to get a flat finish.

I'm a professional woodworker
This stuff is money. I use it every day. Michael T. messed up his first attempt by apply 100% tung oil on his third coat, messed up both attempts by failing to wipe off excess oil, then quit. If you mess this up, then it's your fault. Cut the tung oil to 50-50, apply 2 or 3 coats with at least a few hours in between, and wipe off any excess oil after each coat with a lint-free rag. It's a process that takes practice. Now get out there and finish some wood!

Everyday wood sealing fininshing
I thin this oil 50/50 and use it without stain on many projects made of red oak and hickory. When thinned the wood penetration is great and it strengthens and beautifies the wood. Usually after several thinned coats i will rub on a thicker coat of tung oil or catalyzed tung oil. Its easy to get good results.

Gives the Swedish Finnish.
I ordered this because my contractor said I needed to put tung oil on my floor. After he put it on the floor looked absolutely amazing and it did not have any extra additives. It gave a true Swedish Finnish. I love my floors!
