handy to have on hand for cooking
i love having this "Harmony House Dried Mixed Bell Peppers, Diced – Dehydrated Vegetables for Cooking, . . ." on hand for everyday cooking. I keep it in my freezer just to keep it fresher (although it is probably not necessary.) I add one tablespoon of the dried bell peppers along with the other spices that i want to use and a little water and microwave it for a few minutes in a very low powered microwave oven. (The smell after microwaving is like a fresh vegetable stew.) Then i add the main ingredient (be it chicken or maybe eggs, etc) and proceed to cook to completion in a non-microwave oven. I love the time and cost savings of not having to keep fresh bell peppers on hand to get the same general effect. And of course not having to throw away spoiled "fresh bell peppers" is another giant WIN. Less waste = happier budget.

Steep price, Good product
Yeah, this may not be a great value. I like to keep dehydrated, canned, and freeze dried alternatives to veggies around in case I run out of fresh, or something happens. These bell peppers are absolutely amazing. They taste much more like chili peppers than fresh bell peppers do. The flavor is incredible. And they hold together until chewed, really well.I have been feuding with Amazon and not submitting reviews or answering questions recently, but I had to comment on this product. I don't like the price at all, but it's really good nonetheless.

Be sure to add water hours before you need
Actually the peppers reconstituted nicely although it is missing the aroma and taste of fresh peppers. I expected that but thought I'd try them anyway. I didn't have success when adding directly to dishes being cooked as it Takes a long time to reconstitute but I did notice that there was some pepper flavor added. I suspect that these may work great but first have to be sure the best way of reconstituting.

Great, fresh tasting bell peppers!
The moment I first opened this canister, my kitchen smelled of fresh peppers. They are just amazing and so handy when you’re out of fresh or it’s the time of year when fresh just don’t look that ‘fresh’ in the grocery store. They are always available to me right up on my cupboard shelf. I like to cover in boiling water for a few moments to reconstitute them when adding to pizza or another recipe unless I’m making soup which of course will do the trick by itself in the broth. I’ve started to add other dried veggies to my cupboard as well as a result of these gems. Now no matter what time of year it is, I can make nutritious recipes that taste like they contain fresh veggies.

Great value. Good quality. Shelf stable. Many uses.
Love these dried mixed red and green pepper pieces. Excellent flavor, easy to use and store. They are shelf stable. There are nany uses for these pepoers..Add directly to simmering soups, stews, crock pot, instant pot or oven preparations that have a liquid base.I have rehydrate the peppers in a microwave safe bowl with water for use in potato salad, fried potatoes and egg dishes. If the food item you are preparing has adequate liquid and will be cooking for at least 5 or more minutes, add directly to the that preparation. If I am using in a quick cook recipe or adding to cold dishes I always rehydrate the peppers first in the microwave or even in a small amount of simmering liqued. Drain and add to your cold item such as macaroni or potato salad, pasta salads, homemade salad dressings. Also Excellent addition to simmering pasta sauce, baked beans, soups, casseroles.

Handy for cooking.
Nice color and flavor. Fresh tends to go bad on me before I can use up, so this is great option.

Great Value and Flavor
Sometimes we all need a fast breakfast but still homemade. I had bought a big box of some dried egg cups that were microwaveable for my son before school mornings. I tried one and they were pretty good. I noticed they had dried onions and dried peppers and just some flavorings in with the dried egg and thought, “Hey we can do this!” I didn’t buy dried egg, because we usually have fresh eggs on hand, but these are great, thrown in when you start scrambling eggs, so they soak up the moisture, especially with a shake of minced onions and a shake of garlic powder. It is a simple and quick, easy, hot breakfast. Not as quick as the microwave cups, and a frying pan to clean, but so worth it. I definitely will keep stocking up on these. I prefer fresh veggies for my soups and stews because I have more time in the afternoons to make those, but these really help add some good veggies and flavor to a quick breakfast.
