Works great on my 2005 Lexus GS300!
I’m finally able to get air again! My vents were stuck on the floor and unable to select to face mode. My friend recommended this to me and I’m glad he did. Perfect fitment too.

Works great
My vent selector went out and after googling how to fix it, I came upon this part. Followed the youtube videos and was able to replace it myself. I am not a mechanic but I have knowledge of how to work on the basics of a car. Probably saved me like $3-400 dollars with the way shop labor rates are now a days. My 2001 RX300 is worth like $3,000 so it's definitely not worth a shop fixing it. Part fit exactly like original one and was back in business. Be ready to contort your body and drop screws and hopefully your on the thinner side. Didn't know how important the defrost vent was until you lose the ability to use it

Easier job than expected
I'd known this part was bad and put off replacing it because the part from the dealership was very expensive and supposed to require them to install it. Recently I discovered this with a very affordable price and youtube instruction video and opened the area back up by removing the glove compartment and air duct in front of it, being careful to put a towel in place so any dropped screws would not fall down in the opening below the part. Fortunately some screws didn't have to be fully removed since the part is slotted for removal. After installation and before reinstalling the rest I turned on the power to accessory mode and cycled the mode selection to see it operate properly. Now air routes through the vents like it should!

This fixed it for super cheap!
The air conditioner on my GS300 quit being able to change modes (where it would blow), and a little research led me to this part. This is way cheaper than the lexus part, but I took a chance and am glad I did. The labor to put it in took a bit but wasn't too hard after watching a video of someone else doing it. And, it has been working perfectly for months now, so I'm very happy with this purchase.

it will fix it
my gs' hvac mode was stuck on the dash vent, so i deducted this part was the culprit, after all the sounds coming from around that area within the dash. so, after replacing it, and getting everything back together, it now works on all modes except for the mode where it is on the floor and windshield defrost at the same time. it might just be that i can't feel the air coming out of the windshield defrost vent in that mode, but it is previous obvious when it is on the windshield defrost only, that, that mode now works. of course they may be another issue in there somewhere. but, i can now drive the car safely without the windshield fogging up in certain conditions, so i am happy, i probably saved 400 bucks by doing this myself i was told. yay.
