I bought this bag strictly for a week long ski/snowboard trip to South Lake Tahoe April 2017. It fit well on top of my Chrysler town and country along with two snowboards. Two huge duffels fit with ease. we drove back home over echo summit on hwy 50 during a torrential down pour days after gov jerry brown ended the CA drought order and after NorCal broke the record for wettest year on record. I decided to leave this bag in top of the van overnight (in the continuing rain) because i didn't want to deal with it and I had zero stress that the bag would leak. I give this bag all the stars and I look forward to using it in the future. The straps worked well but being a freak about securing your load I bungeed the bag down tighter after doing the straps. Just zip it correctly and Velcro the zipper flap and it is water right. I traveled with four kids and two adults on a week long ski vacation in the snow and wouldn't have been able to do it without this bag. I have owned a Yakima or similar hard luggage box and I much prefer this soft model in both price and functionality. I did purchase the rubber mat to sit between the bag and my roof paint job and I also recommend that item as well. Couldn't be happier with this bag and would recommend to anyone. Immediately after unloading I hung the bag to dry just like I would a tent and sleeping bag. The two duffels I Stowed in the bag were huge and heavy and I could have fit more into it if needed. If you work for the company and read this I did the most hardcore product test unintentionally and your product passed with no glaring weaknesses. Thank you for your quality product. I am in no way associated with this company but if you need a family to to some R&D mine can put your stuff through the ringer and let you know if it's good.

We used this under a rooftop bag that was strapped to our daughter's brand new car. We drove over 1,000 miles with it up there and it worked great. It rained during a 100 mile stint. No slippage, no scratches or scuffing. The only visible sign it was there was a pattern from dust but that wiped away, no problem. I even packed some scratch remover / wax just in case. Did not need it.

For what it is, it works like a charm. It protects the car roof and helps hold the cargo bag in place.

Purchased this during covid and it has sat in the Amazon box unopened until last week when I remembered I had it and I was maxed out on space inside of my MercedesML350 SUV for a trip. Upon opening the box, and seeing what I bought (two years ago!), I was impressed. Easily found a video on UTube to help in putting it up on my roof. I don't need the clips that come built into a compartment in the great bag you get to store the Roofpax when not in use, but I love that you get a bag to store it. I actually used the storage bag for more items to take with me on the trip! I bought the 19 cf one and you have TONS OF SPACE!! WOW!My vehicle is black and so the Roofpax even looks really stylish and it is super easy to tie down and go without a thought. You also get a little combination lock and that's like the icing on the cake!Again, wish I had opened the Amazon box to see what I had purchased back in 2020. Now I don't know what I would do without this roof bag. Makes me want to book more trips just to be able to use it and knowing that I have expanded space to take more with me than just the space in my SUV! I have a Mercedes ML350 and this roof bag seems like it was made just for me. It fits perfectly between the rooftop bars and I purchased the rubber mat they suggested to lay on the roof to keep the bag even more secure and avoid any scratching of the roof too.Impressed and a great investment. Wish I had opened it back in 2020 when it came from Amazon! LOL

I needed this in a pinch and it worked perfectly from my drive from Idaho to Southern California. It kept the roof of my car perfectly protected and safe from scratches with the heavy and fully pack cargo bag I had loaded on top of my little sedan. I also used the cargo hooks for cars without roof racks and I definitely recommend those if you’re in the same situation. It saved me from having to leave ALOT of my things behind.

I should pay more attention to the 1-3 star reviews. This was disappointing at best. Thickness should be part of the product description but instead one has to rely on the pictures. Like others said, buy drawer protectors you get more per square foot. For good roof protection, this should be least 2-3 times the original thickness. I didn’t even bother using it.

Item came exactly as described. Good quality mesh that creates a non-slip protective surface on top of our 2001 Ford Expedition. We are planning a cross country vacation and I have tested this out in advance. Fits perfectly under the cargo bag we bought as the back doesn't have room for all of our packed items. Doesn't leave a mark, comes off easily, keeps the bag from sliding / scratching the roof. What more could you ask for? Customer service is top notch as well. They are not overbearing as some can be. I've received several emails from the seller, one letting me know they had shipped the item, one when the item said it had been received, and one simply stating that if there were any issues to let them know and they would fix it, fast! I will say, customer service at the level I've received seems to be a forgotten art, and same with the quality of the mat. I'd suggest this for anyone traveling with a storage container on the roof rack. Let's keep supporting companies like this that actually care about the consumer!
