what is the glide type on this nightstand? Wood or metal?

The drawer rollers on our James Mid-Century Table (90101) are metal. This allows a smoother glide when opening and closing the drawer.

how do you open the drawer? Is there a lip underneath to pull it out?

The (90101) James Side Table has no drawer pull, instead, it has an angled edge to the top of the drawer for grip.

Is there use of known harmful chemicals like Formaldehyde?

Hi there. Some of our furniture does contain formaldehyde, as formaldehyde is present in the adhesive used to make the MDF panel. However, our furniture passes Prop 65 standards and does not carry a Prop 65 warning as far as the amount of formaldehyde present. Also, the production of our furniture meets US EPA TSCA Title VI & CARB standards, which refer to safe formaldehyde emission standards. I hope this clarifies things.
