Inspiring the Future Engineers
As a engineer and STEM ambassador I’m always on the look out for toys that will inspire my little girl and little boy.I bought the Limmys Magnetic Building Blocks as part of my little girls Christmas present as she is always talking about my work, she has become more aware of this since working from home and is always wanting me to build with her these fit the bill and i was NOT disappointed - my criteria when purchasing toys that fostered curiosity and questioning through play.Through STEM learning, the Limmys Magnetic building blocks develop key skills for me that include problem solving (how to make the tower stand, balance, how to make the car balance on its wheels), creativity, independently thinking, using initiative, new ways of doing things, asking questions and EXPLORING.Even my son who’s 1 you can see him watching and trying to work out how to get them to connect together.Little did i know when purchasing at Christmas that they would become the tool of home-schooling and honestly id be lost without them. A learning resource a toy i hear you asking well - They encourage my little girl to ask questions, allowing her to take an active role in her own learning. For me this is important as she is developing her critical thinking skills and building her STEM capabilities. So when she asks why the tower is leaning i try to not provide the answer. Instead, i respond with an alternative question and ideas, this in turn encourages her to search for the answers and solution. We have used them for colour recognition and matching as they are multi coloured which is a lovely featured, Shape Recognition building different 3d types of shapes, NET recognition and we have even used them for counting and letters (as they come with fabulous alphabet stickers. The possibilities for me with these blocks are endless!10 out of 10 on -Affordability, quality, aesthetically pleasing as come with a lovely drawstring bag to keep them all together and fun factor! We are going to purchase more to make our building bigger and better! Thanks Limmys for hours of fun for both the kiddies and mummy!

Really versatile, open-ended toy - lots of fun to be had!
We love these magnetic building tiles - they have become a daily favourite toy for my twins. They are so versatile and easy to use. They have a handy leaflet inside to give you instructions on some of the structures and shapes you can create, but obviously you can imagine up your own things too. My twins are 2.5years and love them. But I think they’d suit both younger and older children too; they grow with the child. The only thing I would say is that the magnets aren’t really strong, good in one respect as obviously they’re easy to use and so child-friendly, but the frustrating thing sometimes is that the structures can easily collapse under the pressure of simply picking them up to hold, and certainly can’t really ‘play’ with once built. I made a dog for the twins which they loved, but it fell apart after a few light pushes where they were trying to make it walk. Some structures do hold up better than others, especially when you use the window tiles which seem to make them sturdier. But the main play focus for us is the actual building the shapes, and the possibilities seem to be endless as the twins come up with new things every day. I have seen other similar products on the market, more designed for building structures to play with, but these ones are serving us very well so far and would recommend :)

Simple and satisfying
We were originally given some for a child's birthday and got this for the second child. It's simple to use, creative, easy to tidy up.I think it's only weakness is literally the magnets are rather weak, but I'm not sure if stronger ones would also interfere with it.

Perfect
They are amazing! We bought them in 2023, and now in 2025, they are still in perfect condition. My daughter always enjoys playing with them.

Great value for money. Fun for all ages
This is our third set of limmys magnetic blocks. My mum bought my daughter a smaller set for her 3rd birthday in April and she loved it so much that I got her the second set. She plays with them everyday so when I saw this set with the new parts I had to get it. I love how the insert pieces creates another dynamic to them. They can use them to make more complex creative structures. Look at the picture to see “ rapunzels tower”.One thing to note is that the colours of the pieces on the box usually aren’t the same as the colours inside. This is our third box and the pieces are always randomly coloured. I like the element of surprise and it’s nice that we have such a range of coloured pieces now.I would definitely recommend these blocks as they’re great value for value and will last years. whenever we’ve had friends over with older children they have loved playing with them too.Oh and it comes with a little draw bag to hold the pieces in. We’ve bought a box for ours as well as have SO MANY now 😂

Fun building
These are great and my three year old loves them!Sadly mine arrived a little short (had three pieces missing)ProsNicely coloured, made great and strong. Stickers are a nice touch too, as is the folded booklet of different shapes to make.ConsMagnets are a little week, slightest over touch and it all collapses (magnets need to be stronger) pack should be biggerOverall nicely packaged great product that could be fantastic if the creases were ironed out.
