I worked in a career that was very physically and mentally demanding and was injured more times than I can count. After having multiple chest surgeries in under 2 years I was tired of trying to wrap those huge elastic bandages that were put on at the hospital by Nurses. At home it was just me. So I found these and several other brands on Amazon, the first binder I bought literally came apart unraveling in mere days. But then I read the information on these and thought why not? They are listed as rib brace for fracture ribs which I’ve had before so I figured it would work on the chest just as easy. I got the first one I ordered quickly and tried it immediately. I ordered another one on my next order! It was comfortable, it did not fall apart, I bought it a size larger due to swelling in my pectoral muscles and could start it on right side, rap it all the way around and adjust the tightness easily and would go across my chest again and I pushed the Velcro down on my left side. So I had two layers across the chest and one all the way around. It did not slide down like latex bandages, it didn’t get tighter or looser unless I adjusted it, it was wide enough to hold chest bandages in place and I hardly even noticed it was on. I was very happy with quality, comfort and ordered the extra so I could wash them and let one dry while using the other. I’ve had them for over a year and they are still in great shape and Velcro still sticks fine any were I attach it. I also order the same brand abdominal binder because they were wider for my back which I have Degenerative Disc Disease and my vertebrae are crushing my bones, I’ve lost 2 inches in height and I have horrible back pain. The chest binder actually worked on my lower back too but I wanted something a little wider due to the vertebrae were hurting in a larger area. I actually bought one two big the first time but reordered a size less and they are same quality. Needless to say but I found this brand of brace that works great, easy to use and I am going to buy a few more so I have them if I ever need more. You won’t be able to find a better brace for the money. These well exceeded my expectations and I am a customer for life. I want to buy extra because it seems every time I find something that works, I can’t find again when needed. Some of my surgeries were difficult due to the chest tubes and drains so I would like to have a few more so I have enough to change out while washing one that may have been soiled while changing bandages underneath daily. This worked very well to help me with my bruised ribs. Got one to wear to work and one to sleep in.I would recommend this.

Having recently suffered a rib injury, I ordered this product due to the recommendations on Amazon and received as scheduled. Unfortunately, the velcro was folded over and was virtually impossible to pull apart to fasten the ace bandage properly. I contacted customer service by phone. The associate offered apologies and suggested that another person might be able to assist in separating the velcro to enable proper fastening. I suggested that the company might consider putting some non-sticky tape over the fastener portion as a preventative measure to prevent this situation. After we spoke some adrenalin must have kicked in because I succeeded in pulling it apart (after breaking two nails). Once properly fastened, it provided significant pain relief and was comfortable to wear for many hours. Would recommend, but beware that an adrenalin rush or other assistance may be required.

I had a fall and injured my ribs. A friend suggested that I get this wrap ASAP to stabilize my rib cage until I could see someone. about the injury. It came within hours of ordering it through Amazon. It did wonders to make to lessen the pain. I could actually sleep with it on (be it laying only on my back) but to sleep without disturbing pain (so wonderful). It took about two weeks before I could go without it. Apparently, I just badly bruised my ribs and since they really can’t do much but to wrap you up this did the trick. On the mend :-)

Comfortable to wear- for both short, and long term, stays in place, and is good for a petite female where so many of these braces are meant for larger adults. The velcro is truly a strong one meant to stay in place, and it shows! So far it is working wonderfully! I'm very happy so far with my purchase and will order another as a backup for travel.**UPDATE:The brace material is still soft, and comfortable no matter how tight I wear it, or length of time. However, once the brace is on and closed, the velcro is nearly impossible to pull apart. It has an extremely strong grip, which, with my arthritic hands, leaves me in major pain attempting to remove it. While it's a good thing for it to stay on so firmly, it's also a detriment to those with limited hand mobility, or dexterity. If it weren't for this, I'd buy more of them.Because of this, I'll give it a 3 now, which is a shame. Good product. Too tough to remove.

It works! I have excruciating back spasms while recovering from intensive lung surgery. Have tried everything and not much works except this wonderful belt. My ribs were injured even broken during the surgery. So the belt hits at exactly the right spot and compresses the area below my rib cage. Where the pain is. I had tried other back braces, but they were all either too big or too complicated to wear.

If you have possible damaged/cracked ribs, the compression band can help.My upper rib cage on one side was/is damaged but feeling better as more time passes. Luckily I don’t think there were any seriously broken bones,But I’m glad I got this compression band for temporary relief and so I can still swing the golf club a bit!

This belt provided great support while my fractured ribs were healing. Its size was more than adequate for my medium build. However, it was long enough to fit someone of a much heavier build, but not so long that it was uncomfortable for me.
