Design Toscano Icarus Winged Man Wall Sculpture, 11 Inch, Ancient Ivory

I just WISH the company would creat more statue wall imagery of Icuras flying in different positions cause I would definitely buy every single one of them.

I really like the way it looks and it's really sturdy. It came on time and was safely packaged in a box surrounded by Styrofoam. So glad I bought it!

This sculpture is a perfect example of classical art, exemplifying the dynamic joy of flight. As a pilot, I had to have it. I think that it satisfies my expectations in that the piece is beautiful, nicely detailed, and only slightly smaller than I thought it would be. But it's right there in the ballpark for a decent display size. I thought it would be a resin or plastic material, but that is not what it is made of. It feels and sounds like plaster of paris, or some similar plaster formula. It's not completely dry, being slightly damp still, and it has a smell similar to drywall mud, if you know what that's like. I'm sure that will fade in time, and that I will enjoy displaying this sculpture for years to come, but as it seems to be a form of plaster I will be sure to be careful with it.

I am very well pleased all the way around and I get this statue and the driver from Amazon 10 stars. I’m so happy with the way. The statue looks and the quality and with the service I received. The driver actually followed the delivery instructions and for at least a year that I’ve been ordering off of Amazon, this is actually the first driver that all instructions and I couldn’t be happier with this driver. This driver needs a raise. Thank you again.

Chipped lip, uneven bump and one thing I really dislike; the way the sculptor just drop a huge dollop of clay on the back of Icarus head, making it look unfinished. I have to sand them down because that gave him a crazy hairdo. Note to seller: I'm a customer, I have to be satisfied with the product, not DIY some parts.I damaged the hair with mini sand drill and gosh I have to fix that later.Otherwise it look pretty decent, I like the Ecru coloration, very aesthetic.But please, fix his hair sculpt, his hair looked pretty lazy.With all the flaws, this sculpture should be $22 maximum, in par with botched nativity christmas set, something like that.
