The Noble CollectionGame of Thrones - Ice Letter Opener

Though I returned this because I did not need it for the purpose I intended it, I was very tempted to keep it anyway. It is a beautiful replica of the sword from Game of Thrones, and would make a handsome display piece, if one chose to use it that way rather than as a letter opener. The price was very reasonable for the quality, I thought.

The price is a little high, but it is a very nice piece! I wanted a sword, without skulls, when in a stand could symbolize a cross, could be sharpened, AND used as a letter opener! Well, this IT!!! Sturdy, functional, and you can put an edge on it! You do have to sharpen it yourself-whhaaa! That's half the fun! The stand Amazon recommends is great too-see the pic!

Nicely made letter opener/sword for the GoT fans. Has a nice heft to it, should last a long time, at least through the coming winter. Could be a bit sharper for letter opening, probably work on it a bit. If you are looking for something different for your mail, pick one up. I gave this one as a gift and she really likes it.

This is a bday gift for my son who loves the show and the “ice sword” the most!! 🗡️ I can’t wait to give it to him! It has some weight to it and is a good replica of it.

Dang! This is a cool mini sword! I must admit I have no intention of using it to open mail... I have an exacto for that. This was ordered simply for a doll to have strapped to her back to look awesome! It was an instant success!! Very happy.

I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship behind this. I was really expecting kind of a cheap, easy to bend, type of opener to own just for the novelty. I was taken aback by not only how beautiful it is to behold, but how effective it is. It really is closer to a miniature replica broadsword than anything else and has a pleasant weight to it. I'd keep it away from the kids but for responsible adults this is a must own item, whether you're a hardcore Game of Thrones fan or simply looking to class up your desk.

Somewhat pricier that a traditional letter opener, but when you use it, you'll see where that extra money went. I've never used an opener with such depth, precision, and range before. You should only consider picking one of these up if you're already proficient with letter openers though, as it may be too risky for a novice to handle.

After losing my long-time letter opener in a tragic accident, I purchased this one on a whim. It's a neat novelty gift for someone who enjoys the show, but it's barely adequate in its function as a letter opener. The "sharp" edges of the blade are flattened and roughly 1/16" thick (~1.5mm), which doesn't allow for smooth cutting, and the pointy end isn't nearly pointy enough for those tighter spaces.This is more of a miniature sword replica than an actual functioning letter opener. You can make do with it, but I know I'll soon be buying something else that costs less and works better.Update:I ended up choosing the Paul Revere Letter Opener shortly after writing this review, which is a better knife-style letter opener for about half the price.
