If I need a lock, I would pick Baldwin in a heartbeat.
I have this Baldwin Manchester Handle set for more than 15 years. I moved into a new residence in 2001 and needed to replace the door lock. I could have called a locksmith and have the lock re-keyed but I saw this door lock set on sale so I purchased it and replaced the door lock myself. The process was rather simple, I did not really read the instructions as I just pull the old door lock out and replaced with the new one.Last May, my door lock was acting up, I had problem unlocking the door, the key would turn but not turning the dead bolt consistently. I removed the cylinder and checked the mechanism. There was a pin that catches the blade that turns the dead bolt was not straight. I took the cylinder to a locksmith and she told me that the pin was slightly bent and the spring was little weak. She straightened the pin and stretched the spring a little bit. She said that the parts needed to be replaced. She also told me to contact Baldwin and ask for service and informed me that my door lock has lifetime warranty on the mechanism. I contacted Baldwin and received a new cylinder and 2 keys in less than a week. Swapped out the parts and my door lock work again. Then 4 months later the thumb lock broke and did not spring back up. I took the whole lock out and replaced it with an old lock. I took the lock to my locksmith again and she told me that the interlock mechanism broke. Again, replacement parts were received in about a week, after I contacted Baldwin. This time I took sometime in fine tuning the door lock. I discovered that the hole on the door frame for the dead bolt was not perfectly lined up with the hole on striker plate. That was the reason the when I turned the key to lock the door, it felt like I hit a detent before I could turn the key more to lock. The mismatch on hole and the deadbolt was not much but it was enough to put extra stress on my lock mechanism to cause my problems. I removed the striker plate and opened up the hole on the frame. Now the door lock turns butter smooth. Here is my take on this Baldwin Manchester Handle Set. Baldwin warranty is excellent. I contacted Service department via email and sent them pictures describing my problems. They never asked for proof of purchase or anything. They responded quickly and sent the parts via express mail. After 17 years, the finish on my door lock still looks pristine. The spots on the locks as appear on the pictures is actually water spots.I am now a loyal Baldwin customer. If I need a lock, I would pick Baldwin in a heartbeat.

Replacement handle
This was a replacement and very easy to switch out. However, quite pricey. Overall a good product.
