works for pigtail to Bosch Alternator for Porsche 987
One of the wires to the connector to my Alternator on my 2006 Porsche Boxster was damaged and I wanted to fix it. The connector that is on from the factory was a OEM Mercedes part that was easier to replace then repair. They look similar but different and this worked well as a replacement.

OK cheap knock-offs for re-pinning broken connectors, but not so great for splicing
These are cheap knock-offs, but ok cheap knock-offs. I've seen worse. I bought two of these to replace broken housings on injector connectors. They're not exact duplicates of the originals, but close enough to work. I ended up reusing the original purple locks from the factory connectors because they fit the factory terminals better.A word of warning to anyone who is thinking of buying these to replace cut or torn off connectors or making a custom harness: on the first connector that I de-pinned, or I should say *attempted* to de-pin, the crimps were so bad that the wires came right out of the terminals with almost no effort (first photo), and I will add that this was with the terminal release tool properly inserted and the terminal pushed back, done one at a time. At this point I questioned my purchase, but used the housings anyway as the job needed to get done. The second connector did not do the same thing and the wires came out with the terminals still attached (second photo) so your results may vary. If you're going to splice these in, give each wire a good tug before committing!
