I was a bit leery about what I would receive and the assembly based on some of the bad reviews I read but I’ve learned from past experiences that a lot of bad reviews come from people who don’t seem to fully read product descriptions dimensions and do research on products before purchasing (like watching review videos which I always do) also some bad reviews from people that don’t understand that sometimes accidents happen (missing parts broken parts) When the product arrived I took all the parts out and reviewed the instructions and parts list in the instruction manual to get. Good understanding of what each piece was and how the assembly would be done before I started. It’s true that pieces that were supposed to “click” when put together did not. I also received mine with a broken part but was able to still assemble the bench and contact the manufacturer for a replacement part. (Manufacturer makes it really easy to do via an online form. You can also call or email for a replacement part) I didn’t get any push back or a bunch of questions just “what color bench did you order” I’m not the type of person who expects everything to also be perfect, thing happen. What matters to me is what is done to rectify the issue. Luckily I’m able to use the bench while waiting for the replacement part. Part of the back was broken but I have mine against a wall so the wall supports the back while I wait for the replacement part. Considering the bench was only 150 dollars I’m impressed with what I got especially after browsing similar storage benches and their prices before deciding on this one. As far as sturdiness goes, I was a bit concerned when I was organizing and inspecting parts before assembly (it did seem like the plastic was thin) but after it was all put together it feels very sturdy. I know once I receive my replacement part I’ll be even more impressed. Assembly was very easy, there are not many parts and few small parts. Few steps and I was very satisfied when it was done (even with the broken part) pics I have seen on bad reviews look like the person might have been rushing through assembly or not following directions properly

Bought this for my back porch to store pool toys in and give more seating. While putting together, grumbling did occur about how this was cheap and not made well and yes there are a few places that maybe was drilled wrong but nothing you couldn’t fix because it’s plastic! Seriously, while putting together it seemed like a hunk of junk but it’s actually very sturdy. Once all the metal bars are popped in and you screw everything together it just works. I was impressed by the room in the storing area. I fit 4 pool noodles, a blow up pool basket ball hoop, 2 small ring floats, and my pool vacuum inside. I didn’t even take the air out of the floats just squeezed them in there carefully and shut the lid. Still have a little more room and it is water tight. It set on the back porch under the roof so it doesn’t get rained on but I put wet pool toys in there at night and the next morning the box is dry on the inside. It fits 2 adults comfortably. I’m very happy I chose this against the mixed reviews!

The bottom could be a bit higher to prevent water damage - even an inch or two - because it is made out of cardboard-like material. There were no instructions in the box. Thankfully, the instruction manual is available in the Amazon listing. Screw holes weren’t there for 8 of the 12 screws for the bottom, but you could easily see where they go and the screws slide easily into the plastic. Snapping the center of the bench lid into place was very difficult - make sure you do so from the top and center first.The interior compartment is a good size for storing items. I am a hefty person so I will not be sitting on it, but my mother and child are both 140 pounds or less so I expect they will use it if they come onto the deck.It was a Christmas present for my mom to store her outside pillows in when not in use. She is happy with the look of it and its storage.

This storage bench is lovely and looks way more expensive than it is. It was a little difficult to put together as some of the pieces were quite long/tall but the instructions were good. My only issue is that once we got it together and put it on our back deck, a few days after we had another huge wind storm. Since we have not replaced any trees yet for those we lost in the 2021 EF4 tornado, the wind just whips around the back of the house. I kept hearing a thumping noise and finally figured out it was the bench swirling and twirling on our back deck with the wind! It was quite funny and now I know, and would suggest, after putting it out, ensure you put something inside to help get some weight in it so this doesn't happen. No worries - nothing hurt the new house, the deck, or the bench itself. It's very sturdy!
