Great for kids who love to learn.
Bought for my child who loves doing homework for some reason. She is more advanced than the other kids in her grade, and part of that is because of her commitment to learning. Love workbooks like this.

Excellent
The writing is on the correct reading level. The topics vary. The artwork is fun. The questions are appropriate. I am very pleased and would recommend this book highly. Color pictures on every page.

Some errors, but otherwise good
Someone definitely needs to proofread and fix a bunch of mistakes that are in the book. My 10 year old started this book today, and we’ve already found a few errors within the first few pages. Besides that, my daughter is enjoying the book so far.

Very Effective
My 8 year old daughter went from a failing grade to an A in just a couple months using this book. We did 5 pages a day together and it did the trick. Will work on the 4th grade book over the summer.

If you are religious….
I personally think that these books are fantastic for having the kids practice their reading. It exposes them to different subjects, like a Buddhist fable, so what? I think its very healthy and interesting for kids to be exposed to different subjects, beliefs and equally different vocabulary that we really don’t use daily. Do I agree with the story of the moms? Nop. But that’s just me. I skip the page and i move on, no big deal. I spend my days homeschooling my kids and I believe that their core beliefs will be rooted in the home and by my own conduct. If you are religious and keeping your kids in a bubble I suggest you to buy only books with stories that you agree with. Otherwise I highly recommend these series of books.

Engaging and fun
Engaging and fun activities, intuitive learning or reviewing concepts. Each question can be fully understood by rereading the clear directions and/or the clearly explained answers, with clues in the layout of each page to reinforce concepts. The entire series has interesting topics and activities for all ages to review and rebuild a solid reading comprehension foundation, including adults returning to academic settings and want a non threatening review of terminology.
