Updated Review - Loose thread issue solved
After using these threads for an incredible number of designs (some of them very complex) I have to change my original rating to a 5 star. The little annoyances about the thread ends and numbers are more than compensated by the price, color ranges and thread quality.I just had my 2nd set delivered. Now I have a set at my daughters house so I don't have to carry them back and forth. When I first use a color I peel off the number tag on the top and tape it to the inside of spool. I then use a sharpie to write the thread number on the outside of the spool. Easy peasy. And finally found an perfect solution for attaching the thread end after use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DuuITwjqtSwNow all of my spools are so nice and neat.I have a Bernina Deco 340 and the only time I have had a broken thread or shred was when I needed to change the needle. I do always use a thread stand.I have been amazed at some of the negative reviews saying things like "they don't come with the thread stands" and "they are smaller than I thought".The ad is for the thread. No where does it even imply that the stands are included. Yes, they are pictured in holders but how else are they supposed to show then? It clearly states that they are 550 yard spools. If you expect bigger than it is your fault, not the products.Go to threadsingles.com and you can see all the color names and a picture of the thread. I don't even try to do conversions. I just look at the original color in the design and I know I will have a color that is close, if not identical to it.*** Original Review****The only reason I'm not giving these a 5 start review is that some of the ends are buried and hard to find plus the color number is on the top of the spool and you have to punch through the number to put on spool holder (so have to renumber them)I have not had any problems using these threads. It's wonderful having so many colors at my finger tips. I bought the thread racks at JoAnns using a 50% off coupon.

Great Value
I searched high and low for the best value on thread, and this was it. I was a bit nervous that it might not be good quality, so I wanted to wait awhile before writing this review. After mastering my machine and many embroidery and applique projects later, this thread has held up great. I love the sheen it has for the extra pop and I haven't had any problems with the thread breaking. In regards to the size of the spools, they may not be what the industry traditionally calls "large", but they are in fact what is pictured above. They aren't huge, but they also are not the small skinny ones. They arrive in a nice quality box with tiered layers you can pull out. It works great for storage and I find that I don't need to buy a rack.I thought that buying 260 spools might be overkill (I had just bought my machine and never done any embroidering or applique work before), but that is usually what I do with most things I buy... But after doing a few projects, I quickly realized it is soooo nice to have a wide variety of colors to match with different fabrics. I wouldn't consider buying fewer colors for applique work. As far as the colors go, I have been able to find a good match for every project I am doing. Personally I don't care at all about the color #s or names, as I gauge what color I want to use for each project. Why leave it up to the designer anyways? Especially for applique projects where you are matching your own fabric. So overall, it is a great product at a great price!

260 beautiful bright colors!!!
I was very pleased and surprised. The colors they send are beautiful and vibrant. I always think when they have a deal you will be sorry but I'm not, can't beat the price that is for sure. I have found the Polyester thread is very strong. I have used it for about 17 projects and haven't had any of the thread break, well, unless I threaded my machine wrong. LOL The spool doesn't have a way to secure the tag end after it is used but I cut the plastic base with a pair of nail clippers and it holds the tag secure, only takes three seconds. If you think about the price it is under .50 cents a spool, which is quite a bit less than half price for most stores. I know if I had to do it over again I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this Mega Kit, I'm very pleased. April 29, 2013---UPDATE............I bought this thread in Oct. 2012, have use it in a Singer SES 2000 and my new Brother Laura Ashley Innov-is 5000 embroidery sewing machine. I haven't had one single problem with this thread. I also use it for all my sewing projects, I love to sew and spend many hours a week at my machine. Someone said the thread twisted in her machine, If you have your thread set up vertical it can't twist, my brother and singer both have vertical and horizontal feeds. If you don't have a vertical thread holder buy one if you think you will have a problem. I use the horizontal for my brother, no problem, lets face it if a machine is out of timing or your tension is set wrong it will break your thread I don't care how much you spend for it. Also you need to be using the right needle it's easy to blame the thread but usually it is our mistake (I know I have made them myself). I know it is expensive to take them in for service but it can save you more in the end. I also take out my bobbin case and clean out my machine every day, it only takes a few minutes but can save you all kinds of trouble. Don't know how? Read your manual, can't find your manual go to the internet you can download one, or go to YouTube and watch a video, this is such a simple way of saving yourself a lot of time frustration and money for repairs. You can get a thread chart from Marathon thread, this is the thread wound on cardboard so you can see the real color. It was under $10. I use it every time I embroider, when you have so many colors you really need it.
