Q: I have a surface book 1 model 1705 but it is a 15" model. Is this the correct battery for that?

I don't know the answer as my surface book 1 is 1703 model with a 13.5" screen. I doubt this battery will fit your but better check with the seller.

This doesn't really answer your question, but you should verify your model number. I had a gen 1 mod 1785 (though it says 1703 on the box) and had to return this battery and buy a different one. Also, the battery comes with tools, so chicken and egg thing where it would be nice to have the tools to pry open the case to measure the old battery and verify proper connectors. Make sure you get good tape to put it back together. I got 2mm LCD repair tape and should have gone a bit wider and maybe a hair thicker. Laptop works OK though (base anyway). I miss the days of screws and access doors to upgrade/fix laptops.
