Amazon has just gone down hill in general....
Pictures are deceiving, I should have read into it a little more. These taps are tiny, I would not purchase these and spend the $ on Amazon better set.Unfortunately for me thats what I need to go shp for now.Amazon has gone down hill so bad..... I will be searching for a new platform to do my online shopping with as I move forward.....

Rethreaded my Honda Odysessy plate holes great!
I needed this to re-thread the license plate holes on my Honda Odyssey thanks to a dealer who had put sheet metal screws in it previously . It was perfect. It cut through the metal threads like butter and was done with the job in two minutes. For $9 I don’t expect the taps to last but for a few jobs buy it.

An object lesson in "you get what you pay for"
I got this to cut new 6mm threads in the brake rotor retention hole in the wheel hubs of my 1995 Mercedes s500. A mechanic must have put the last rotors on with an ugga dugga set to infinity because the bolt heads were snapped off, requiring me to drill them out and cut new threads. This item was an inexpensive solution I could get the same day (amazon fulfillment center 2 miles from my house) so I gave it a whirl. Well, these are very cheaply made, to loose tolerances and with a wrench needing at least 3 inches more mechanical advantage to be useful. After cutting the threads per their instructions, I was able to run the Mercedes bolts through the bore but they wiggled like Hula Girl toys all the way in. I have no faith that these rotor bolts will survive the vibration the loose threads will impart during steering and braking so I'll likely be back to drilling out and retapping the holes the next time I do a brake job on this car. Lesson learned. I'll spend a little more money on a quality tap set next time.
