Good expansion set for the overall great Mario Lego sets
This is one of the better Super Mario Lego sets before the prices go crazy in my opinion. My nephew absolutely loves these and has collected quite a few of the sets. He's still quite young for the really complicated Lego I think, he's only 7, but that's totally fine for these. He actually prefers playing with these to building them though, and I think it's because of all the cool little interactive things they can do, like the characters interacting together etc. This set in particular is good. As I said, I think it's one of the better valued Mario sets, you get a good size castle centrepiece which is cool but I guess you don't get any of the main character minifigs, so that's the downside. You'll need a starter set to go with this if you want a main character, Peach being the obvious choice since this has her cat suit included. Since my nephew doesn't really like building Lego that much, I did most of that, which obviously I loved. The best bit of being an uncle! I thought it's a pretty easy set and nothing complicated here so I'd say the 6+ age recommendation on the box is fair enough. Overall though I think these Mario sets are a really cool little innovation for Lego and I can totally see why my nephew loves them, I would have done too if this sort of stuff was around when I was a kid! This is basically the dream crossover and definitely recommended for any youngster who likes Lego and Nintendo!

Usual Lego
This was a birthday gift for our grandson who seemed to like it and added it to all the other Lego.

Great addition to the Mario sets
Clear instructions, easy to build and a great expansion to the Mario sets.I found it was quite an easy build compared to some so definitely suitable for younger lego fans.

Clever set with moving parts
This is a good add on to the peach starter set, this lego is not normal lego in that you use peach and the other characters like a lego Mario level and collect coins by doing tasks and things on the lego course, I readily admit that I don’t get half the things my daughters do with this, I have a go and am useless, they go round and stand on things and pick up books and things and get coins, the princess has led parts to her, eyes, mouth and body where it displays expressions and symbols with coin counts. It’s all very clever. The characters interact with each other, and this expansion pack makes the original starter pack a lot better, feels more like a complete game. The quality is superb and building the set needed some parent help as there are moving parts to this which are very cleverly designed and move smoothly. It’s fun to build. If you like the Mario starter set then this really adds a lot to it.
