Compact, Convenient, and Functional Indoor Compost Bin
I purchased the Stonespace small indoor compost bin in green, and it's been a great addition to my kitchen. The color is vibrant and appealing, and the size-1.3 gallon/5 liters-is perfect for fitting neatly on my countertop without taking up too much space. It holds enough for a day or two of regular composting, depending on what we cook. Sometimes we empty it sooner, while other times it lasts several days to even a week, which is very convenient. The bin comes with a lid, which I love for keeping everything contained after depositing vegetable scraps, fruit peels, coffee filters and grounds, eggshells, and other compostable materials. While I made the purchase in winter and haven't experienced fruit flies or ants yet, it does effectively keep regular flies and stinkbugs out. The handle is another thoughtful design feature-it makes it easy to move the bin to my cooking and cutting area while meal prepping, and it's equally handy for carrying outdoors to the compost pile. To me, the handle feels sturdy enough for regular use.The bin includes a cupboard door mount accessory that's simple to install-you just hook it to the door and close it. While I personally prefer storing the bin on my countertop, as mounting it would interfere with my kitchen setup, I can see how it could be useful for others. However, I found the mount to be a little "wobbly" and am unsure if it could withstand frequent bumps or being knocked into. The rectangular plastic shape makes cleaning a breeze. I simply rinse it out when emptying and give it a thorough wash when needed. Because it is easy to clean, I don't bother with compost bin liner bags, which saves money and avoids generating extra waste. Composting itself should not produce foul odors (as long as you avoid meat and dairy), but the lid does a great job of containing the natural smells inside the bin.I also appreciate the accurate description of the size, which helps ensure the bin suits your needs. I like that the bin is made of plastic instead of metal. This way I don't have to worry about the bin rusting or leaving marks on my countertop. The bin comes in four color options-green, black, light blue, and white-offering a choice for different preferences. The price for the product seems to be reasonable, especially since we use it almost every day.I haven't encountered issues with scratching or smudging, as I only use the bin for composting, but I find the sturdy design works well for its intended purpose. While the description mentions it can be used as a trash bin for other rooms, I'm quite happy using it for collecting compost in my kitchen.Overall, this compact and functional compost bin has made composting easier and more convenient for my household. I'm really pleased with this purchase, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a practical indoor solution to get you to compost regularly.

Game changer!
This has been a game changer for our family. It is soooo much better than bending over to put the food scraps in the low container the recycling company gives out. That one didn't hold the BioBag well and was - ugh, anyway... This is the perfect size, in the perfect place. The lip on the lid sits on the side while I'm doing dishes and putting things away and then I close it when I'm done.It definitely contains the smell, and is sturdy. The handle recently broke off, which is a bummer. (It wasn't me!) We do fill it up quickly and should probably take it out more often. I don't know if there's a way for the company to make the handle connection a bit stronger without making it stick out into the bin. Anyway, just don't be us and fill it to the max!I considered many options before buying this one and it was definitely the right one. (I also like the light blue color. Not boring but not too bright.)

Very happy with it.
It works great under the kitchen sink. And if you have doggie poop bags, they work great inside. It looks small, but it holds way more than you think it would. The only reason I knocked off a star is because the hanging piece isn't low enough to close the door. But maybe it's just our doors. But the adhesive is strong and works great.

Makes composting easy
This is a perfect solution for composting. I placed the container on the outside of the cabinet door on the kitchen island. The cover has a recessed handle thus making it secure from marauding pets. The threat is real. The liners I bought are biodegradable so can go right in outside composting bin or directly on the garden in winter. I highly recommend this product.

Great idea!
Holds odors in. Convenient to have close to my sink and countertop where I do a lot of fresh vegetable chopping and can easily hang the lid on the edge and brush my food scrapes into it. Has a handle and hook and it has never come off my cabinet door. I use green compostable liner bags to put inside it to make it easier to put into my big composter outside.

Compact & Neat Compost Bin / Trash Bin
Compact and useful. The hanging hook is useful to store next to a trash bin for peeling potatoes / carrots if you happen to use this as a compost bin like I do. Looks neat and nice on the counter as well, it doesn't take up too much space. A nice trash bin for under-the-sink if your "main" kitchen bin isn't close by.If you are using it as a indoor compost bin (to collect for outdoor compost bin) like myself, just need to order compostable bags, line the bins with said bags, and take out to compost bin when full. But it is a bit small to be used as a compost bin for a family of 4, all of which love to cook... so it may be filled up fast and need to be taken out to the outdoor compost bin. (Which is fine, kind of what I was expecting / hoping-ish for.) The lid is... okay. I had a different expectation of it in my head, I suppose. But so long as it keeps the flies out, we're okay.

Needs a little tweaking.
It needs some grip tape to make it easy to remove the lid with one hand. I put a screw in the middle so I could pinch and lift.
