Q: Can this be used on 1250 micron mount board?

Im not sure. I know you can use it on grey board the thickness for book covers. You can use it on tin leather etc but i personally have not used it on mount boards .

Q: I have just purchased crop-a-dile corner chomper tool-rounded, the 1/4inch side cuts the round corner perfectly but the 1/2inch side doesn't????

Yes, I have this same problem, so now I don't use the 1/2 inch side at all. Even the 1/4 inch side doesn't cut perfectly and I often have to file it afterwards with a nailfile. And... it ain't cheap either! I specifically bought this tool as WRM Keepers' tools seem to be good quality. I have the WRM Keepers' big bite crop-a-dile which works perfectly, even after 8 years of quite extensive use.
