Effective and well priced
Paid £80 last year for cluster fly treatment, that was with £10 off as my neighbour had the treatment too. I was told they could come back each year which they did, fortunately not as many. I set two smoke bombs off on a cooking tray in the loft and went out. When I came back I just had a quick Look and couldn’t see any of the flies, want to leave in 24 hours before going in properly but I’d say it’s been very effective.I wasn’t sure what to expect but the smoke just rises steadily and fills the air, no sparks or anything crazy. Bit like incense smoke but more intense. I’d say it’s a brilliant product as it’s cost around £7.50 to treat. You get a piece of paper included which tells you how much to use for the size of the area that needs treating and also for what pest you are trying to exterminate

Cluster flies in the loft
I have a large loft which was infected by cluster flies. I lit 2 smoke bombs, placed them in the loft and closed the hatch (ensuring that the smoke bombs were placed on fireproof dishes and kept well away from any loft insulation) As described on the packaging the bombs gave off a great deal of smoke, although none manage to seep through into the upper floor. I left the bombs in the loft over night and checked for flies the next morning. The bombs appears to have worked as there was no evidence of cluster flies the next day. I will continue to check the loft and should they re appear I have another two smoke bombs as the product was supplied as a pack of 4. The smoke bombs are easy to use and did exactly what I wanted them to do. As the product is toxic it is important that you follow the instructions supplied, if you do this they are easy and safe to use.

They just dropped down dead. Just like that !
Cluster flies are a nuisance (these are nothing to do with house flies and are no indicator of hygiene or cleanliness) which gather in cracks in the ceiling beams of old houses and swarm when you put the heating on. However, one application of these smoke bombs and they (literally thousands of them) dropped down dead as if from nowhere.

Undecided on effectiveness
It seemed to do the job until more moths appeared almost two weeks later. It does say that if you have a heavy infestation then to do again 5 days later. I wouldn't have said I had a heavy infestation so I didn't do again 5 days later particularly as I'd used a spray tooBe warned.....it stinks and your room, and everything in it will smell for a few days. Even my air purifier didn't help much

Faulty bombs - be aware that the company are uninterested.
We have purchased these bombs three times as have been having a real problem with cluster flies in the loft. We had been having some success in eradicating them by using these bombs, but with the last purchase 2 of the 4 bombs were faulty. They initially lit, but went out after a few seconds (once the touch paper had burnt) but then they failed to give off any odour - they were completely dead - not smoking, smouldering or giving off any gas/smoke.As we have used these bombs 8 times previously, we know what to expect from them. When we contacted the company to express the issues, they requested photos. After they received the photos they refused to believe that the bombs were faulty, and fobbed us off with jargon. They should learn to take the customer’s word for it - especially when we have used them 8 times before! They need to appreciate that not all their products are infallible, and indeed there are plenty of other companies on the market that sell the same products, of which we will be using going forward.

They work!
I personally found they work perfectly. I used two of the cannisters in my loftspace, left it overnight and no more cluster flies (so far) Job done!

Worked but need a second round as not all were killed
Definitely worked but having to buy another 4 to finish the job as there were still a few flies left. We have quite a sizeable loft so I lit all four spaced out equally. They let off quite a lot of smoke as I was exiting. left overnight and there were certainly lots of dead flies but some survived (saw a dozen of so) which I didn't expect. lets see if the second round finishes the job. will leave the light on to hopefully draw the few left towards the light and set a couple off in that area.
