Used these bags at a craft fair. Excellent value for money and of course environmentally friendly - much better than using plastic bags.

I bought these with a view to doing my bit to cut down on the use of plastics. Many new gift bags and wrapping papers are not able to be recycled. So I thought I would try these plain brown paper bags. However I found they were also sturdy enough to store spring bulbs until I replant them. I have also used them when shopping for my loose vegetables instead of the plastic bags used in the shops.

The price and the amount of bag is great the look is good as well but 2/3 of the bags are kind of glue as you can see on the picture they tear when try to open it and the sturdiness is not their forte. I broke many bags because of a loaf of bread. So I highly recommend them for light items (>1kg) but not for a a bigger weight. The size is good though wide and big.

Have bought these for some years for domestic waste recycling. Ideal!

I bought theses to use for waste items going to land fill. Old plastic carrier bags eventuality deteriorate in land fill but leave behind residue. These brown paper carrier bags will rot quicker in land fill. I collect all my plastic packaging including old carrier bags and get it recycled.. The bags hold a lot of waste and so it is worth paying extra for these bags than 5p for a plastic carrier.

Not suitable for anything with a bit of weight to it as the base starts to weaken. Have to put one inside another so it won’t rip Ok for lightweight items
