Nalgene Monochrome BPA-Free Recycled Reusable Water Bottle for Backpacking, Hiking, Gym - 32 oz Shatterproof Jade

We are a Nalgene bottle family. Sometimes I keep a plastic straw in mine which it tall enough to sit just below the lid when closed so I can pull the straw up and drink from that when I open the bottle instead of the rim. The cup needs to be cleaned often when using the rim to drink- it gets funky. Eventually with aggressive use the paint on the outside for the logo and lines/measurements does wear off. This dark green color is a family favorite and we all grab it if it's available. It is NOT insulated and it does sweat if you put ice in it, but as frequent beachgoers it's still our fave for days at the beach and out in nature. Once you drink it down the cup is light and not a pain to carry.

Oh the awful, horrible things I've done to Nalgene bottles. No, not like that you sicko. Like deliberate abuse to see how much it could take and still be functional. My first one was dropped off of buildings, out of things that fly and thrown as hard as possible into hard immovable objects. I hit it with large tools designed to break things and it just took it. The thing that finally ended its reign was running it over with my truck. But even that did compromise its ability to hold water. All that happened was the mouth got squashed, the lid was destroyed and the outside finally look awful. But you could still drink from it. Fast forward 25 years and my new favorite Nalgene edition is the GITD 32 oz. All the Nalgene toughness with the added coolness of softly glowing in the dark.

I've been using Nalgene water bottles since the early 70's for camping and backpacking trips. That was back when their bottles were all the white nylon plastic. Now, with the polycarbonate bottles they've been making for 20 plus years, you get a much better bottle for beverages because this type of plastic does not hold flavors or scents at all. Not to mention these things are virtually unbreakable during normal use. I highly recommend Nalgene bottles.

Glows in the dark really nicely, is a pleasant green otherwise. I like that I can clip it on with a carabiner when its empty (and also when its full; the lid is really sturdy. Unfortunately it is heavy, then). I added a sipping plug to keep from overpouring down my chin, the wide mouth means it really comes at you.I’m kinda clumsy. This bottle does not care. The lid has a textured edge that grinds off easily when dropped on concrete, but the lid itself is THICK. I’ve got a few sizes of Nalgene bottle with the same design and haven’t broken a lid yet. The body of the bottle also takes scuffs like a champ.

Best water bottle I've owned. It even shows the measurements on the side, which is apt because apparently Nalgene either is or originally started as a science equipment manufacturer.As claimed, this thing absolutely does not leak if the cap is properly situated. You can safely transport this in your backpack and it will not get anything wet.One little thing I liked about the packaging: they put a plastic cellophane wrap over it, and put the stickers on the collophane instead of directly on the water bottle itself! No other brand does this, and it leaves adhesive from the sticks, and paper and crap all over the bottle. Thank you for that small detail, Nalgene!

You know it and love it. It’s THE classic water bottle. It holds plenty of water to last my work shift, which is really what I care about. There aren’t any weird seals or crevices for mold to grow on, and cleaning is easy enough - use a bottle brush or throw it in the dishwasher. It can trap smells if you’re not careful. I had a bottle previously that I’d use water enhancers / flavors with, and it started to smell like them after awhile. My new bottle is strictly pure water and has no smell at all, thank goodness.As for durability, I believe you could throw it off a cliff and it’d be fine. I don’t hike or know any local cliffs, so can’t test that one out I’m afraid. You don’t have to be gentle with it. Very durable.The only downside is that it does not fit traditional cup holders. It will fit in your backpack, but not your car cup holder. It’s not a deal breaker and I knew that about the bottle going in.All in all, a water bottle with the easiest upkeep, holds a very good bit of water, and you can knock it around without worrying about breaking it.

Beautiful color! I’ve had various Nalgene’s before and none have broken or messed up thus far. Very sturdy and convenient as well as sustainable for the environment 🌱

Love it!! Great quality, much heavier plastic than i expected but still lightweight and the wide opening is exactly what i wanted. It’s simple but perfect.
