KICKS A**, WORKS GREAT

I bought this pen for a Xmas gift for my boyfriend who helps fix things around my house. He is also an engineer by trade so I know these little gadget-y gifts go over well with his type. He immediately started to fidget and play with it upon opening the box to figure out how it worked. The only downside was, I had to try and remember what I read about the pen online and describe verbally what it can do to him because it did not come with instructions. A little piece of paper that listed its features would have been nice to include. I chose the yellow one, it is much thicker around than a normal size pen, comes in a sealed plastic bag, and is a really cool, handy and fun gift to give!!

The pen is about as big as a standard pen. It's cheap in Price but pretty darn cool.in practice, well worth the money for a cool gift that is great for handymen and inlaws(like my purchase), good for engineers, crafters, stocking stuffer. My father in law loved it!

It's a pen that writes very well and comes with replacement cartridges. The ruler lines would be better if they all started at the same point and maybe even included a little notch to better see the zero point on your paper. The o-ring for the screwdriver seems like it may fail quicker than a ball detent or magnet. Overall, it's a decent multi-tool pen that worked well as a stocking stuffer.

I bought this pen as well as a package of 8 from another supplier with the same features. I found this pen to be heavier duty and better built. It also holds more ink in one cartridge. It writes well and feels good in your hand. No complaints. One thing to note. If you find that the head of the pen is sinking back into the casing when writing, take it apart and use a small screwdriver then give the top of the cartridge (it has a slot) a little turn clockwise. That tightens it up and solves that problem. No issues since. I gave the other pens away as I found them to be too lightweight and flimsy.

My review was hidden for "sensitivity" which was ridiculous as I DID purchase for the men of my family as Christmas gifts; however, I would have loved one for me. If you have anyone who loves "handy" gadgets - these are perfect. The photo shows most of them. They came with all the parts as advertised. The only thing they did not have, which I HIGHLY ADVISE the vendor(s) to do, is to add little booklet or page that describes what it is and what comes with it. I only knew because I had purchased it. I know many "handy" folks will fiddle with it and figure it all out, but it would be nice to know: Oh, this is what it is and where everything is located and how it all fits together. In any case, I'm glad I got them and am looking forward to their reactions when they open the gifts and try to use them.

Okay I'm going to tell it straight on this one. I really liked this one. I ordered two of them - one for my fiance and one for my dad. I used the one I got for my fiance several times before I dropped it evidently right on the pen tip. So lets first talk about it prior to dropping.... The pen writes really smooth. It actually comes with replacement inks. I used the small level once while hanging a picture. It was somewhat convenient to have it right there for a small tasks. It has measurement markings down the sides of the pen - nice touch but I can't honestly say we've utilized them. The small hidden screwdriver is nice and it was pretty handy when you need that tiny screwdriver for something. We always have a stash of standard screwdrivers but the small ones always end up being left somewhere or overlooked in the drawer. The stylist tip is similar to the measurements, not used as much but nice extra. Okay so back to I dropped it.... I guess it hit just right so it would not hold the pen tip out. If I tried to write after I dropped it, the pen would just drop back into the tip like it was twisted in. I was able to crimp the mechanism that holds it so it stays permanent out. All in all it was a nice gift for them, and perhaps my drop was just a fluke, but it didn't seem to hold up to heavy use. I will say the ballpoint pen and replacements do write really smooth. As utilitarian as this pen is designed to be, I don't feel like it was rally meant for heavier wood shop use. It would make a good addition to any junk drawer took stash to use marking and hanging pictures or other small tasks. I like the concept alot, but would like just a little more sturdiness out of this.
