Great budget grinder
I bought the C2 Max after looking to spend a lot more on a quality mill, but having difficulty finding any in stock that weren't 3x the price. I settled on the C2 as the reviews were fairly good, and I don't mill for espresso. Some appear to have issues with that. For pour over this thing works great with good uniformity and a quick grind. My $30 one this is replacing took forever and constantly lost its grind setting during the mill, leaving a lot of boulders in the result. It was near impossible to dial things in unless going near espresso levels.I'm not a big fan of the lid being attached to the lever, but it shouldn't be a big deal unless one is traveling with it. Even then, a good cleaning or chucking it into a bag should be fine. Compared to my $30 mill, this one is significantly louder, or at least the pitch is higher. Some may not like the grippy texture, but I find it really helpful when powering through my 30g loads. All in all it appears to be well built, has a good weight to it, and does a good job at milling a consistent ground. Sure, it's not a Commandante, but it's also not over $300. If starting out on the hand grinding journey, I'd suggest this over something cheaper made of plastic with ceramic burrs. Yes they are a lower point of entry, but will only dissuade from enjoying milling. This is a good beginner one that will cover the user until they're at the point of stepping up to a much more specialized mill.

One of the best hand grinders under $200.
Unbeatable price/performance. If you're considering the C2 get this one as it comes with the upgraded E&B burr which would cost you about $40 to retrofit plus it has more capacity. This review largely mirros my review for the C2 with updates for the differences.Pros:• Solidly built• Grind adjustment is all metal• Plenty of adjustment steps• Large capacity (~ 30gm)• Sharp well-cut burrs• "E&B" burr is an upgrade (over the C2 model)• Knurling on housing gives good grip• Comes with storage bag and cleaning brush• Breaks down quick for easily for cleaning• Moving part rides on bearingsCons:• Internal supports are plastic (though they seem really robust)• Grounds get stuck in sharp corner of bottom camber. Would be better with a rounded or chamfered edge down there.• Stepped adjustment• Not as portable as smaller grindersAll in all this is a FANTASTIC grinder even if you don't consider the current price. Even over $100 this would still be a brilliant deal. Easily holds it own with grinders that cost more than twice as much. It's essentially identical to the C2 except it's taller (more capacity) and also has the upgraded E&B center burr.Really solidly built. Feels weighty in the hand, grinds smootly, the knurling gives good grip on the housing and good leverage with the handle.Much bettter than "budget" grinders that are in this price range. They simply don't compare. This punches well above its price point.Summary: You cannont go wrong with this grinder, you just get so much quality and usability for your money. This really is all you need.

Super quality affordable piece!
We camp and use a french press relatively often and this grinder is a must have! It takes less than a minute to grind the beans and we grind two caps worth for a full french press. A decent amount of beans fit in one cap full for the size of the grinder. It’s extremely user friendly, works better than expected, and i would definitely recommend over and over!

Great grinder that has held up after 3.5 years of daily use
I purchased this grinder in March 2021. I was looking for a quality grinder without breaking the bank. When I saw this in Amazon, I was a bit skeptical about the quality because of it being made in China. It turned out that after 3.5 years of daily use (I grind coffee with it almost every day), it has held up just fine. When it was new, the grinder cut coffee beans like butter. After a few months, I did notice that I needed to use a bit more force to grind the same beans. To me, it's acceptable given the inevitable wear and tear from daily use. Since then, the performance of this grinder became stable without further deterioration. In addition, during the first year, I dropped this grinder to the floor and caused a crack in the structure that holds the shaft and I was worrying about it would break apart soon. However, it did just fine for two years. One downside of this grinder is that it can only hold about 22-24 grams of beans at once. If I need stronger coffee, I will have to fill the beans, grind them, empty the container twice.Overall I am satisfied with this product.
