Like most people, I was very hesitant to buy a chair on Amazon. I've been pleasantly surprised.
I suspect that most people are very hesitant when considering the purchase of this chair or any furniture, for that matter, from Amazon. I sure was! The mechanism on my old manual recliner broke so I had to find a replacement. I read the reviews of numerous recliners on Amazon and most of them were not good. I kept coming back to this recliner because I liked the way it looked. But I always read the reviews and I make it a point to read the negative reviews because they often describe a deal-breaking issue with a product. Most of the reviews for this recliner were positive but there was an odd inconsistency in some, especially the negative reviews. I found it funny when I read the reviews by large people who said the chair is very large and then read negative reviews by small people who said the chair was WAY too small. If I remember correctly, one person even claimed in that nobody over 5' 7" could possibly fit in the chair. Again, if I remember correctly, they even exclaimed in capital letters that the chair is SMALL SMALL SMALL or TINY TINY TINY. So, how could a large person claim the chair is very large and a small person insist it's to small?I put off my decision for a while. In that time, I checked some websites for brick and mortar furniture stores in the area. The prices were insane! Most acceptable chairs of this type were $2,000.00 to $3,000.00! I like quality but that's simply too much. Also, I'm at the point where I absolutely hate to go to any physical stores these days with the exception of hardware stores like HD. (I love tools!) So, it was back to Amazon. Now, I should mention for reference that I'm 6' tall and about 250 pounds. The chair was delivered today. The box had damage on a couple sides including one large damaged side that was taped together so I took pictures of the box before opening it in case the chair was damaged. I'm not blaming the seller or manufacturer because the damage probably happened in transit. Fortunately, the chair had no damage and is in perfect condition. Assembly was straight forward. I see that some people said the zipper was difficult to zip up but we didn't have a problem with it. But, like some other reviewers mentioned, the talon for the zipper is on the inside not the outside which isn't a problem but it just seemed odd. It took ten or fifteen minutes to finish assembly. My first thought when the chair was assembled was, "This chair is BIG!" (So much for it being SMALL" or "TINY". I wonder if the person(s) who said the chair is very small reviewed the wrong chair. Also, as most Amazon shoppers probably know, reviews are often mixed together with different products so you don't know what product the review is for. In any case, the chair is not small, let alone tiny. I actually wanted a smaller chair because the place where it used is very tight. Side by side with my old recliner, this one is substantially larger. But perhaps the best way to describe it's size is to mention that when I sit in it, I have about 3 inches of empty space on each side of my body. And, again, I'm 6' tall and about 250 pounds. I actually wish it was smaller but it'll do fine.Another reviewer complaint was that their feet wouldn't touch the floor when the chair is upright. My legs are "normal" length for my height. I have a 32" inseam. My feet easily reach the floor even with just socks on. In fact, I can still plant my feet on the floor about 2 feet in front of the chair. It's perfectly comfortable. Of course, very short people may not be able to place their feet on the floor. I can only speak for myself but I'm mentioning this as a reference for people considering the purchase of this chair.I really was looking for a manual chair. I like the idea of keeping things simple and having less things to fail but I didn't find a manual recliner that I like. Also, the manual mechanism broke on my old chair because it was probably more complex than a motorized chair. I love to fix things but the way it broke it was unfixable.Quality: One reviewer said that the chair is top tier quality. Well, it isn't. Truly top tier recliners costs thousands of dollars. But the quality of this chair is very good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, in fact. And it's very comfortable contrary to at least one reviewer's complaint that it was incredibly uncomfortable and that the seat was like sitting on a board. That's simply not true. It's very comfortable, in my opinion. In fact, about an hour after I assembled it, I feel asleep in it.This chair is a very good value. Value is what I look for in most things I buy. And my five star rating is based on how I perceive the value of this chair. The leather is good but not the greatest. It's not the very thick whole grain leather that you see on very expensive furniture but it's as good or better than most leather furniture. Only a very picky leather lover accustomed to very high-end (expensive) furniture would probably be disappointed with the leather of this chair. So, for most people, leather quality of this chair is not an issue. Speaking of leather, very often I see people who obviously think Top Grain leather is the best. They complain when a leather product they purchased was said to be "top grain" but what they received was low-quality leather. Actually, top grain leather is one of the worst leather grades. It's a misleading term that the leather industry uses, probably intentionally. So, if you're buying leather products, do yourself a favor and go online and look up what the different leather grades are. Again, Top Grain leather is almost at the bottom, quality wise. Full grain leather is the really good grade. There are other grades in-between. Become informed before buying leather goods. Now, I can't say for sure if the entire chair is real leather. Faux leather has become so realistic that it can be hard for anyone but an expert to tell the difference. That said, I suspect that maybe the back and side panels are faux leather (pleather). But, if that's the case, it's no problem. It's well done and those aren't wear areas anyway. Then again, it may be all real leather. In any case, most people will be very happy with it.The motors are smooth and quiet. Now, if there was one thing I would like to be different beside the size of the chair - and this is such a minor thing that I hesitate to even mention it - is that I wish the back and the footrest could be controlled independently. The way it works is as you press the button to recline the chair, the footrest starts rising up alone. Then, at some point, the back starts to recline as the footrest continues to rise. They are locked together in their cycle. The reason I wish they could be controlled independently is that. at some angles of recline, I wish I could lower the footrest a bit. But that may just be me. I have very tight tendons behind my knees and the chair is very slightly uncomfortable for me at certain recline positions. It's fine in most positions and when in full recline. On the other hand, maybe those slightly uncomfortable (and I stress "slightly") positions may be therapeutic for me in that they may help to stretch my tight tendons.Bottom line: I recommend this chair as a very good value. I would also take some of the complaints with a grain of salt because they are simply untrue, in my opinion. The chair is not SMALL or TINY by any stretch of the imagination. Nor is it only made for very small people or children, and the seat is not as hard as a board.I'm very happy with our purchase and I think I'll go sit in it after I post this review and I'll probably fall asleep in it. BTW, my wife is very happy with it too.

This chair is the "real deal"
My husband and I are both just under 6 ft and in the past, we have purchased some Lazy boy recliners because they were "the best". Well maybe that was true in the past, but after having this chair for almost 1 month (using it every day), I'll share this - keep the extra money in your pocket and enjoy this quality and comfortable chair. I wanted to wait and give it a little time in case our initial experience/reaction changed. My husband gave me his requirements when I started looking. No swivel, no rocker and has to be leather. That started the search. I looked at this chair, along with others and then said, just sit tight. But I found myself going back to look at this so many times. I scoured all of the reviews--many times. I was concerned because some say good for tall people while others said not. When you are buying a chair that you can't sit in 1st or touch it, do you want to click on the button to purchase it? It's not the same as returning a small purchase to Amazon if you are not happy with the end result! After 3 weeks of thinking about it and scouring reviews again, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase it. End result? Very pleased. Better than expected! Came in 2 days. Was easy to assemble (2 pieces) and I recommend having a flashlight and using tips from the reviews - especially regarding the red ribbon as well as the zipper position!) Quality? BEAUTIFUL quality leather that will last for years. Color? Navy with minimal shade variances. Comfort? The seat is just a little stiff but provides good support and IS comfortable. It will break in somewhat over time we have no doubt. The length is slightly short for us but we are both long legged vs longer body with shorter legs, feet hang over by 3-4 inches but not uncomfortable because of it. What my husband has to say about the chair. Features important to him: because the chair is not manual, you have multiple positions for reclining. You can control the positions. Same for independent head rest. USB charger is important to him for charging his phone. Mechanism runs smoothly and quietly. The only thing that I can say that I wish was different is that the warranty is not shipped with the chair. You have to go to the manufacturer for it. Hope this is helpful for future potential buyers. We plan on purchasing a matching one in the next few months because they is how much we like it.

FED EX SUCKS!
For the money, this recliner is a decent buy. It is a little smaller than anticipated but the quality seems pretty good. Overall, for a short person who is not too heavy, it is a pretty smart purchase. The problem is the delivery. FEDEX SUCKS! The delivery was by one person and he acted like a 3 year old. He opened the rear door of the vehicle and shoved the box out onto the ground. It tumbled a couple times before stopping rolling on my driveway and then he proceeded to shove the box end over end toward my handicap ramp while I was shouting STOP! I ask him to wait a second while I retrieved my hand dolly and he just looked at me stupidly while my wife was retrieving my hand cart he proceeded to flip the box over until he could leave and he left me sitting on my handicap scooter while driving away! How rude! My wife and I finally managed to get the box onto my front porch and unboxed and into the house. We had quite a difficult time putting the chair together, but, remarkably the chair was not damaged. Kudos to whomever packaged the chair. Good luck with your adventure if Fed Ex is your delivery company!

Amazing chair
The chair was relatively easy to assemble, and it looks great. My husband tried out all of the buttons, and they work fine. He is very pleased with everything the chair does. We have never had anything but LazyBoys, but this one is great at a fraction of the price.

Nice recliners
We bought two of these and the setup was a breeze. Not sure of the leather quality but time will tell how good these chairs really are. Not super comfortable but comfortable enough for the cost.

Quality
Love these chairs. Bought 2 for our RV. The navy color is not what I expected but overall the design is great.
