Very good quality
I was using 5% patches until Medicare decided that they weren't paying for them anymore. So I had to go to 4%. CARELAND 4% works pretty good, but I wish they made a 5% OTC. They do stay on better than an Rx so I can't complain! As far as being pain relievers--I have a fused lower back, arthritis, scacro-illiac arthritis which all cause unbearable pain, especially in bad weather. Careland patches work better than the others I've tried. Great product. They stay in place very well and don't roll or twist.

Works great!
Works just as good as rx lidocaine patches, at a much cheaper price point!

Better Quality Control
I have bought hundreds of the Amazon Basic in the blue boxes and these work okay. I do find the glue inconsistent though. These are more consistent and slightly less in price than the Amazon Basic. I have been using thousands of these patches for over a decade. I have learned two things: 1. You do need to tape the lenght side edges down and the best tape is 3M Durapore which sticks well but is resistant to skin tears. Its a perfect balance of good sticking and easy removal. Amazon sells Durapore tape. I use the 1". And the second note, 2. I find that some pain may only need a half (cut long) size. For example on a neck, a full patch is just too big. But, I wash off the neck with a splash of isopropanol alcohol wiped with a small tear of a paper towel, and Durapore tape on the length and one extra long one down the center extending 2" beyond the patch. BTW, If the patch does not work for pain, there is a prescription patch called Diclofenac which for my neck I need that. GoodRX has coupons.

Thicker but Smaller Size
Thicker than most patches but smaller. I'd cut my other patches in half these are slightly bigger than half size. They do help with pain. They are a good value. They arent as sticky as my thinner ones. They stick but dont stay in place, semms to bunch but I am using on my shoulder and shoulder blade area. But these help when I dont want to use Icy Hot (pewyew but a god send), dont want to take advil all day, cant use the heating pad or all the above aren't cutting it. They pain management is the sane as my other ones I used and some prescription ones I've used in the past. I just wish these were longer and stuck better. I wish my other ones were thicker (thicker ones are easier to put on yourself) and cheaper.

No pain relief at All.
I have a pinched nerve of thigh. These patches were No pain relief at all. Do not buy. My camera on cell phone would not pick picture up to send with review.

It's a barrier from PHN of your skin.
I wear these as a barrier around my torso for Post Herpetic Neuralgia (PHN) from shingles. I've had PHN now for over 2 years. The patches prevent a shirt from rubbing across my torso skin from any movement, even from breathing; the rubbing can be excruciating. The lidocaine actually has no effect; so even when the lidocaine 'wears off', the patch is still a 'barrier' to protect from any rubbing. Depending on how active you are, the patch adhesive can last about 3-4 days, or less, depending how often you shower.
