I ordered this to replace a wire-stripper I’d misplaced. While I’d not describe it—nor expect it to be for the price ($20 at the time of this review)—as a premium quality tool it is significantly nicer than the one it replaces. The handle is reasonably comfortable and the cutting surfaces are sharp. I’d not realized when I ordered it that it has a power detection feature—while I can see it as handy for continuity testing, I’d never intentionally use it with a live wire, as to function, it requires one’s bare hand to be touching a metal strip in the handle. This is a unique electricians pliers with the ability to detect live wires. It is a great concept... I just wish the tool was a bit smaller and compact. It has lots of useful features that are built into the pliers. I like that they are spring loaded for one handed use. The tool is robust and has comfortable handles. The battery is already installed, so the tool is good to use out of the packaging.
