Star vs. the Forces of Evil: The Magic Book of Spells Hardcover – Illustrated, September 11, 2018

Book came a little dented, probably during transport but no damage inside the book. Just as advertised. I strongly advise to buy it from here, the book is no longer produced and is getting hard to find it in this good quality with this price.

Como un gran fan de Star vs. the Forces of Evil, puedo decir con toda sinceridad que The Magic Book of Spells es una obra que todo amante de la serie debe tener. Este libro es un auténtico portal al fascinante mundo de Mewni, lleno de hechizos, secretos y detalles que enriquecen profundamente el universo de Star Butterfly y sus aventuras. Cada rincón y cada página están repletos de contenido que vale la pena explorar, con ilustraciones y anotaciones que te permiten conocer a fondo la historia de cada reina de Mewni y su legado. Es un libro que invita a leerlo una y otra vez, y definitivamente un imprescindible para cualquier coleccionista y verdadero fan de esta mágica serie!!, y os recomiendo que aprendais ingles, vale la pena hacerlo!!

It was exactly as expected, I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to say.

This is an excellent piece of lore and explanation for the Star Vs universe however some quality control issues keep it from being perfect for me. So let me say I love Star Vs the Forces of Evil. I find it to be a fun enjoyable show and this book does an excellent job at expanding some of the lore of that universe and telling us about past queens of Mewni. However I’ve been through two of these and there’s just some quality control issues as well as a few minor complaints I have that keep it from being a 5-star product. So I’ve had an issue with two copies of this book now where some of the text on the queens introductory pages is slightly faded it’s at random which queen and how many but it has happened twice. As well it annoys me that this book doesn’t fully translate the ancient “queen” dialogue and just sort of is like hey you figure it out I can’t be bothered. Also the fact that the book doesn’t include a copy of the cards for each queen and more or less has a photo copy taped to each queen is annoying. Daron Nefcy did this whole ARG on twitter where certain cards were at certain GPS coordinates and if you happened to be in that area you got that card if you got there first. Would it have been too much to ask to just make copies of those and include them with the book? You could have differentiated the ones from the ARG by having those be signed or 1st edition or something. So in conclusion I really do love this book I just wish it didn’t have the issues I mentioned. It’s still a great buy and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys the show and would like to know a little bit more about the universe.

Bc if the price I thought this might be flimsy but it is hefty with good quality paper and printing. The inside is so adorable and has a huge variety of random stuff. It’s a new book, so the pages aren’t in disarray like the real one but I’ll just put some sticky notes here and there for my cosplay to get the same effect

I was hoping hardcover would mean the cover art would be hard as well instead of a paper wrap (the kid this is for is careful with her things, but her best friend The Dog is not and loves to snoop), but that doesn't at all take away from how great the quality and art is! She was super excited to get it and it's just gorgeous.
